Hydrogen purification

Hydrogen cleansing is inspired by Korean skin care.

What is the phenomenon of the treatment and what is it all about? Let me explain…

Undoubtedly, this treatment is a revolution in skin cleansing. The treatment uses active hydrogen. Active hydrogen molecules are introduced into the deeper layers of the skin, thoroughly cleansing it and neutralizing free radicals. When it comes to the operation of the device used for the treatment, and thus to the treatment itself, the hydrogen generator plays a major role as it produces a constant flow of hydrogen-rich water. The water is released onto the skin through a specially constructed tool head and, together with impurities, is sucked back into a second container. Hydrogen is the smallest and lightest chemical element which allows it to penetrate intercellular space very quickly. It reduces the level of free radicals and protects DNA, RNA and cell proteins against oxidative stress (oxidation – ageing). This means that HYDROGEN is an ANTIOXIDANT. Other antioxidants known and valued in anti-aging care are e.g. Coenzyme Q10, Catechin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Glutathione. Do you know any of these ingredients? For sure! Now imagine that the hydrogen molecule is 176 times smaller than the Vitamin C molecule, and more than 800 times smaller than Coenzyme Q10. Therefore, the permeability and antioxidant effect of this element is  much more effective.

Possible reasons for the treatment: contaminated skin, blackheads, grey skin, rough skin, flaccidity and first wrinkles, enlarged and contaminated skin pores, or seborrhoea i.e. oily skin.

Stages of the procedure: The treatment traditionally begins with a thorough make-up removal and covering of ears and neck.

The first stage is HYDROGEN CLEANSING At this stage, dead skin cells are removed, skin pores are thoroughly cleaned, and free radicals are neutralized. The skin prepared in such a way is ready for exfoliation.

The second stage is FIRST HYDRABRASION with the use of 12% fruit acid mixture. Thanks to this stage, the skin regains a radiant, healthy glow; the skin’s surface becomes uniform and smooth.

The third stage is SECOND HYDRABRASION with the use of 4% acid mixture, made to close the cleaned skin pores and stabilize the sebaceous glands.

The fourth stage is THIRD HYDRABRASION with the use of a special mixture, the main ingredients of which are aloe vera extract, vitamins C and E, and hyaluronic acid. This stage is aimed at moisturizingthe skin.

The fifth stage is LAMINATION. Thanks to a special tool head for even distribution of the ampoulecontents in the oxygen infusion, the skin gains protection against re-contamination and free radicals.

The last stage of the treatment is GALVANIZATION a massage with the use of a galvanic head. It is a very pleasant and relaxing process of massaging the active substances from the previous stages into the skin. At the very end, a cream containing hyaluronic acid is applied to the skin.

Treatment not advised in cases of: pregnancy; bacterial, viral, allergic, fungal, skin diseases; skin cancer; cuts or bruises; fresh surgery wounds in the treatment area; active herpes; recurring acne.

Frequency of treatment: Prevention: once every 4-6 weeks, Skin treatment: every 10-14 days.

Oxybrazja + fractional mesotherapy, no needle/RF

Oxybrasion + fractional mesotherapy, no needle/RF

Fractional Mesotherapy is a new treatment, which combines micro needling therapy with the contemporary Mesotherapy practice. Since the 1990’s, micro needle therapy has long been used by practitioners in the form of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), to fade scars and generally as an anti-ageing treatment. Recently smaller size micro needles have been recognised for their capacity to dramatically increase the bioavailability of topical treatments and further enhance their transcutaneous absorption. The first key benefit from Fractional Mesotherapy is the induction of collagen by controlled wounding. Collagen induction builds layers of the supporting intracellular matrix, promoting healthy, resilient skin that looks younger. The second key benefit from Fractional Mesotherapy is increasing transdermal penetration of actives, facilitating higher product concentrations in the dermis. This has the potential to make topical treatments more effective. Studies suggest that using a skin needling system can increase the effectiveness of topical treatments by several hundred percent.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy was discovered by the late Dr. Michael Pistor more than 60 years ago in France. According to Dr. Pistor, by definition, Mesotherapy is what he termed “surgical medicine” because it is the practice of placing medications by injection directly into the skin at the site of pathology or condition being treated. The term “Mesotherapy” derives its name from two words: meso and therapy. Meso refers to the embryonic tissue (mesoderm) which gives rise to the connective tissues of the body. Thus, the area of the dermis (skin) where the injections are placed is the mesoderm or middle layer of the skin. Mesotherapists describe their specialty as treating the ‘middle tissues’ since meso also refers to the middle. The word therapy refers to the type of treatment, with Mesotherapy; the therapy is in the injections.

Manual facial cleansing

Manual facial cleansing

The treatment begins with thorough makeup removal and skin preparation with the use of a suitablepeeling method. The next step is opening the skin pores which makes the cleansing less painful and the impurities easier to remove without causing damage or scarring to the skin. After applying a softening face mask, the skin is warmed up with the Vapozon device or a Solar lamp and all skin impurities are manually removed by the beautician.

After the cleansing, anti-inflammatory and bacteriostatic preparations are applied to the skin.Furthermore, a device producing D’Arsonval currents is used to disinfect the skin and accelerate the healing process. The next step is a mask application to close the skin pores to have a soothing and calming effect on the irritated skin. Lastly, a serum and a cream are applied.

AZAC peel

AZAC peel

AzAc Peel is a two-stage peel with 16% of azelaic acid, 10% of mandelic acid and 2% of salicylic acid. Exfoliation with Mesoestetic acids

Exfoliation with Mesoestetic acids

The high trichloroacetic concentration in mesopeel TCA (35%) enables deeper peel making it highly effective in treating deep wrinkles and blemishes.

Mesopeel TCA is  highly efficient treatments against slight to moderate photoaging, wrinkles, actinic and sebhorreic keratosis, pigmentary dischromia, acne and acneic scars, lack of facial luminosity and recovery of skin texture and general skin tone.

The trichloroacetic acid action mechanism is the chemical coagulation of skin proteins and is neutralised by plexo dermis serum. Acid penetration is progressive and descends freely through the different dermis layers. Exfoliation capacity varies with concentration. After healing, the treated area re-epithelises and the new skin is firmer and more elastic.

Accelerated and controlled skin regeneration

By the application of chemical peels the elimination of the top layers of skin is encouraged, acting at different layers of the skin tissue through 3 mechanisms of action.

QUANTITATIVE INCREASE OF THE GAGS.

  • Increase of the presence of water in the dermis.
  • The volume of this increases.
  • Reduction of wrinkles.

CHANGES IN THE DERMAL COLLAGEN AND ELASTIN

  • Reorganization and stimulation of the structural dermal elements.

STIMULATION OF FIBROBLAST FUNCTION

  • Increase in the activity of the fibroblasts, which synthesize the different macromolecules of the extracellular matrix.
  • Increased hydration.

Arkana Unitone TXA, Vit C Therapy

Hyperpigmentation, which means visibly darker spots on the skin, occurs as a result of improper functioning of melanocytes, i.e. cells responsible for production of melanin (pigment) in our skin. Its occurrence may result from different reasons – hormonal reasons, medication-induced reasons or… too long exposure to the sun. If you are also affected by this problem, it’s high time you started the treatment preventing the hyperpigmentation and evening up the tone of your skin. What is hyperpigmentation and how to identify it Hyperpigmentation occurs at various age, usually on the places exposed to the sun, for example: on the face, neckline, shoulders and calves. The forehead is the place where the spots occur the most often. It happens due to the fact that sunlight – and more accurately ultraviolet radiation – plays an important role in occurrence of hyperpigmentation.

Also hormonal treatments, taking some medicaments and sometimes even use of cosmetics or perfumes containing ingredients that are conducive to occurrence of brownish sports contribute to its occurrence. Nevertheless, it occurs the most often on the skin of the persons who expose their skin excessively to sunlight without ensuring proper protection. The problem of hyperpigmentation is extremely complex and relates to a lot of women. It is the brown spots that we usually observe on our skin.

They are the most often located on the face: on the forehead and above the upper lip. It is estimated that over 30% of women who reached 30 years of age as well as almost 90% of women at the age of 50+ suffer from it. The problem of hyperpigmentation intensifies as we get older, which is connected with the hormonal changes taking place in our body. Therapy against hyperpigmentation Thinking about the persons who fight with uneven tone of their skin, Arkana launched innovative series of cosmetics constituting a complex therapy against hyperpigmentation – Unitone TXA +Vit C Therapy. Their task is to even up the tone of the skin and to level the pigmentation disorders. The effectiveness of the therapy Unitone TXA +Vit C Therapy is owed to combination of unique active ingredients. The main therapy ingredient is tranexamic acid, which allows for elimination of hyperpigmentation caused by excessive exposure to sun beams as well as the one occurring as a result of hormonal treatment or taking medicaments from the skin.

What is more, it not only eliminates the current hyperpigmentation but also prevents occurrence of the next one. It has also anti-inflammatory effect and it soothes itchiness and oedema as well as red patches. Combined with vitamin C – in the latest, extremely active form – it brings the best results, evens up the tone of the skin and prevents the effects of photoaging

There, it binds water for a long time and gives the effect of deep moisturizing, increasing skin density and filling wrinkles.
The second active ingredient: Hydroxyapatite, guarantees a “soft-focus effect”, optically giving the impression of shallowing wrinkles. This substance is also a natural filter that protects against solar radiation. In addition, in contact with the skin, under the influence of its slightly acidic pH, it releases calcium ions that affect the regenerative and repair processes and the formation of new cells in the skin.
Indications:
  • mature
  • lined skin dry skin with depleted moisture
  • flabby skin with depleted density
  • as a follow-up to dermo-aesthetic treatments.
Your natural beauty

Permanent make-up

I’ve been a Linergist since 2016. I am constantly improving my skills. I strive to be up to date with trends and to offer my clients the highest level of service. I participate in training courses, symposia and web-based seminars. In Marika’s Beauty Room I perform permanent makeup of eyebrows, eyelids and lips using a safe device of the highest class, made in Germany.

Thanks to the disposable, incredibly sharp needles, the procedure is almost painless; most of my clients decide to refrain from using anaesthesia. The pigments I use have a balanced blend of colours in the composition, so that they fade away uniformly, without turning to warm or steel tones. This means that if you decide not to touch-up your makeup every year, your eyebrows will simply fade over time until they disappear completely.

The composition is dermatologically and toxicologically tested and each batch of pigments is lab tested. Pigments and disposable needles are certified for use in permanent makeup, which has been approved and confirmed by the Bedfordshire Council.

What is it and why would you want it?

What is it and why would you want it?

Permanent makeup is the process of injecting a special pigment just under the outer skin layer with the use of a special tool. I create a natural, reasonable, non-comical effect. Permanent makeup differs from regular makeup, its purpose being emphasising your natural beauty. Advanced techniques and professional pigments help me achieve better results which in turn helps you save time when applying your everyday makeup, so that you can sport that flawless look the minute you get out of bed!

The age of thick, black, drawn-on eyebrows is, I hope, long gone. Thanks to the powder technique I give the brows a natural shape and you will never have to worry about drawing your eyebrows on straight again. The effect of this technique is similar to that achieved with regular eyebrow powders.

However, if you would like something more flexible, I would suggest only a slight shading of the brow area so that you can easily emphasise the colour later on using a powder or a pomade. You will also be able to adjust the colour scheme and vibrance which will allow you to give the brows either a more pronounced or a more modest look.

Another available technique is microblading the results of which closely resemble a natural, thick eyebrow. For me to be able to apply this method though, your skin cannot be naturally oily as the resulting hairline will spill out and migrate and will not look very good. Do not despair, though – if you come to me, I will make sure to pick a technique suitable for you and your skin (and I do know a thing or two about skin care, after all! ;))

If what you’re after is a permanent lip makeup, different techniques give different results – everything from a light touch-up, through a lip gloss effect, all the way to a feathery lipstick finish.

If your lips look bluish, as if you were cold, or if they don’t look red enough, we can achieve a more healthy, lavish, natural look by using the aquarelle technique.

We can emphasise your lips beautifully with a permanent lip contour with a touch of colour within the lines.

By choosing the 3D lips method we can achieve a stunning effect of full lips through skilful colour transitions.

Royal lips is another advanced technique allowing a more vibrant, vigorous colouration, resulting in a realistic lipstick finish.

If you’re fed up with arduously applying the eyeliner every single day perhaps we can interest you with our permanent lash line makeup offer. We can highlight the eyelid area by thickening the eyelashes with a simple straight line. As a result your gaze will be magnetic while still looking natural!

A more fancy option – a courageous permanent eyeliner – is a slightly more pronounced line with a cat eye effect to give the eyes a more open, seductive look. The line slightly trespasses on the eyelid but its thickness is adjusted to your individual needs.

As you can see, we offer a broad range of possibilities when it comes to meeting your makeup needs. Permanent makeup doesn’t have to look outlandish – when done well, it will free you from the headaches of regular makeup, allowing you to feel fabulous no matter day or night, at work or on holidays, in the gym or at the swimming pool!

The treatment begins with filling out all the necessary documents. During the appointment, I want to learn what your expectations are and to offer you a selection of makeup techniques and possibilities best suited to your needs. I am open to my clients’ suggestions – I would never do anything you didn’t agree to (after all, it is your face ;)). However, we wouldn’t want to change the proportions of your face so as not to make your facial expressions look unnatural. So, if you have any specific tips on what you like (thicker eyebrows, a delicate arch, a sharp line, natural-looking eyebrows, darker colour, etc.) then now is a good time to tell me :). I don’t perform makeup based on a stencil. Each treatment is individually tailored to the facial features of the client.

Permanent makeup of lips and eyelids begins with initial and pre-treatment anaesthesia to make the procedure even more comfortable. There is no need for the eyebrows to be anesthetized beforehand because in this area, the sensation is very similar to eyebrow plucking.

The next step is the PRELIMINARY DRAWING. During the drawing, I set the proportion points on your face. I then use them to draw my version of your perfect makeup, taking into account your guidelines – the way you do your makeup. After accepting the initial drawing and choosing the colour, it is time to proceed to the final stage, i.e. permanent makeup application. The process, using a special tool, takes about an hour, depending on the desired effect. The treatment does not make you feel uncomfortable, but if you feel uneasy, anaesthesia is available. Immediately after the procedure, the area may be swollen and tender. Keep in mind it is a wound after all.

After the treatment I will give you an information card about taking care of the treated area as well as an ointment/cream that accelerates healing for you to use at home. The permanent makeup treatment consists of two appointments. On the second appointment, i.e. the correction appointment, any irregularities are filled in, it is possible to saturate the colour more or make slight changes.

You can come to the consultation appointment with your own drawing. If you are not sure if you want to do permanent makeup, this is a good option for you. During the appointment you will be able to ask any questions that bother you, to successfully choose the right pigment colour for you, and to apply the drawing to your face so that you can see what your makeup would look like. The price of a consultation appointment is £25. If during the consultation appointment you decide to follow through with the makeup, the amount of £25 will deducted from the permanent makeup procedure price.

Refreshing of permanent makeup

Refreshing of permanent makeup.

Keep in mind that permanent make up is, in fact, still a temporary solution – kind of like hair dying. For a satisfactory, long-lasting effect, the makeup has to be refreshed from time to time. How often that means exactly is an individual matter as it depends on a number of factors (skin condition, lifestyle, stress, sickness, nutrition, diet, physical activity, etc.). The pigment can be metabolised over time or it exfoliation with the skin, resulting in fading of the colour. To help alleviate this I offer special price (for returning customers)  for refreshing your permanent makeup.
